ACC Biotech at ICMCM 2026: Building Hong Kong's Chinese Herbal Supplement OEM Capability

ACC Biotech (Acc Biotech Limited) was honoured to attend the Welcome Banquet of the 25th International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products (ICMCM), held on 13 August 2026. Organised by the Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association (MCMIA) together with the HKTDC and ten scientific research institutions, this year's ICMCM ran from 13 to 15 August at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, and was funded by the Chinese Medicine Development Fund of the Hong Kong SAR Government.

The banquet brought together manufacturers, research institutions, brand owners and overseas buyers from across the Chinese medicine value chain. For a Hong Kong supplement OEM manufacturer, few evenings offer that much of the industry in one room.

Why ICMCM Matters to a Supplement OEM Manufacturer

Chinese medicine is no longer a purely regional category. Interest in Chinese herbal ingredients — for sleep, digestion, dampness, women's health, joint comfort and metabolic wellness — now comes from Southeast Asia, North America and Europe, often from brands with no prior background in the category.

• Positioning and market entry support: guidance on how a Chinese herbal product should be positioned as a health supplement versus a registered proprietary Chinese medicine, and what each route implies for claims, labelling and market access in Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland and export markets.
